Luxury Skincare Is Worth It
If you can make it work within your budget, luxury skincare is worth the investment.
While the desire for great skin is universal, skincare products are not. When it comes to luxury skincare for men, ingredients speaks louder than any fancy packaging. And you might think you don’t need any of them, but trust me, you’ll certainly benefit from understanding why some of these products are the best in the game. So, next time you're shopping for skincare, keep an eye out for these power players.
Chanel
As someone with an oily T-zone (that’s the forehead and the nose) I needed to try this product. Chanel Research developed Boy De Chanel Anti-Shine Toning Lotion, to meet the needs for men with oily skin. Tried and tested: the lotion mattified my face and reduced the look of pores almost instantly. Although it's expensive, it's worth every penny. A little goes a long way and the lotion can last you for up to 6 months.
Chanel
If you’re like me and not blessed with naturally bushy brows, you can fill in any gaps with the fine-tipped Brow pen from Boy De Chanel. On the one end, there is a retractable pencil, which shapes and shades, and on the other end, there is a spiral brush that shapes and grooms. It’s designed for guys who want a well-groomed brow and it works well on missing facial hairs or grey hairs, too.
Dior
There’s a plethora of effective moisturisers out there. However, may I suggest you try out the All Purpose Moisturiser by Dior. You can use it on your face, hands and body. I, however, only apply the moisturiser to my upper body and hands. Almost instantly, the melt-away texturising cream absorbs into my skin, leaving a scent trail just like the Sauvage Fragrance.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris
Maison Francis Kurkdjian (if you can’t pronounce the name, just say MFK) has a talent for making some of the finest fragrances on the market. L'Homme A La Rose is built around a dynamic pair of two of the world's most renowned roses: deep, sweet Damask roses from Bulgaria, and smooth, fresh Centifolia roses from Grasse. However, a zesty grapefruit accord accentuates the floral roundness and enhances the woody and amber base. It’s a fresh, floral, all-day stunner that’s classic enough to impress and cool enough to wear anywhere. I bought the 30ml as it suited my budget.
Hermes Paris
Hermes has complemented the launch of its new scent, Hermes H24, with a skincare range for men that has an aromatic, fresh, and botanical sillage. The skincare products are dressed in elegant grey packaging and contain 97% natural ingredients. I've tried the Hydrating and Energising Face Moisturiser and the Face, Body, and Hair Cleansing Bar. The moisturiser is a winner, especially because it is rich in natural ingredients.
